How it works

Three steps. No hassle. You focus on running your business, I handle the reviews.

01
You sign up
Pick your speed tier and tell me about your gym. Boutique studio? CrossFit box? Big-floor gym? I match your energy and tone from day one.
02
I write every reply
Every new Google review gets a personal, from-scratch response. PT shoutouts, equipment complaints, membership cancellation gripes. All of them, handled right.
03
You approve or I post
Replies are sent to you for approval first. Nothing goes live without your say-so unless you want me to post directly.

Real reviews, real responses

These are genuine examples of the kind of replies I write for gyms and fitness studios. Fitness is personal and emotional. Your review responses should match that energy.

Glowing Reviews
★★★★★
"Best gym I have ever been a member of. The coaches actually know your name, the programming is smart, and the community is unreal. Went from barely being able to run 5k to completing my first half marathon. This place changed my life."
— Emma D., Google Review
Owner Response
Emma, from 5k to a half marathon is an incredible transformation and that is all you. We just gave you the space, the programming, and a few people cheering you on. The coaches will be buzzing when they read this. You are proof that consistency beats everything. See you at the next one.
★★★★★
"Joined three months ago as a complete beginner and was terrified on day one. Every single person here made me feel welcome. The trainers scale everything so you never feel out of your depth. I actually look forward to going to the gym now which is a sentence I never thought I would say."
— Raj P., Google Review
Owner Response
Raj, this is exactly why we do what we do. That day-one feeling of walking in and not knowing anyone is hard. The fact that you felt welcome straight away and now look forward to sessions tells us the culture is right. Three months in and you are part of the furniture. Keep showing up.
Mixed Feedback
★★★★☆
"Love the classes and the coaches are brilliant. Only gripe is the changing rooms. Showers are often cold by 7am and the lockers are too small for a work bag. Small things but for the membership price they should be sorted."
— Fiona C., Google Review
Owner Response
Fiona, thank you for the kind words about the classes and coaches. You are right about the changing rooms. Cold showers after an early session is not good enough, and the lockers should fit a work bag if we are asking people to train before the office. We are looking at the hot water system and locker sizes. These are fixable and we are on it.
★★★☆☆
"Good gym but it is getting overcrowded at peak times. I have had to wait 15 minutes for a squat rack on a Tuesday evening. Either cap memberships or add more equipment. The off-peak experience is great though."
— Tom R., Google Review
Owner Response
Tom, fair point. Waiting 15 minutes for a squat rack is frustrating when you have got a programme to get through. We are aware that peak times have got busier and we are actively looking at adding racks and reviewing our membership numbers. The off-peak experience you describe is what we want at every hour. Appreciate the honest feedback.
Tough Reviews
★★☆☆☆
"Tried to cancel my membership and it was an absolute nightmare. Sent three emails, no response. Called and was told I had to give 30 days notice which was not mentioned when I signed up. Took two months to actually stop being charged. Felt like a trap."
— Liam G., Google Review
Owner Response
Liam, I am sorry. This is not the experience we want anyone to have, especially when they are trying to leave. Cancellation should be straightforward and it clearly was not. I have reviewed our process and we are simplifying it. Three unanswered emails is unacceptable and I have addressed that with the team. If there are any outstanding charges, please contact me directly and I will resolve it immediately.
★☆☆☆☆
"Personal trainer was rude, dismissive, and made me feel like I was wasting his time because I could not keep up. I am overweight and just starting out. Left feeling humiliated. I will not be coming back."
— Hannah W., Google Review
Owner Response
Hannah, I am deeply sorry. No one should ever be made to feel humiliated in a gym, especially someone who has had the courage to start. What you described is the opposite of everything we stand for. I have spoken with the PT in question and taken this seriously at a management level. I would like to personally offer you sessions with a different coach, at no cost, to show you what this gym is really about. Please reach out. You deserve better and I want to give you that.

Why your reviews need a reply

The research is clear. Responding to reviews changes customer behaviour, protects revenue, and improves your visibility on Google.

📈
Members upgrade their reviews
Consumers are 33% more likely to upgrade their review if you respond with a personalised message within a day. For gyms, that means a frustrated three-star review about a busy evening can become a loyal five-star member.

💬
84% check reviews before joining a gym
Joining a gym is a commitment. 84% of consumers read reviews before signing up and they pay close attention to how complaints about contracts, cleanliness, and staff are handled.

More reviews, higher ratings
Gyms that respond to reviews receive 12% more reviews and see their average rating increase. In fitness, where word of mouth and community drive growth, that momentum compounds fast.

Google rewards you for it
Responding to reviews feeds into Google's ranking signals. For gyms competing on Google Maps, this is the difference between showing up when someone searches 'gym near me' or being invisible.

Cancellation complaints go viral
Gym cancellation horror stories are the most shared type of negative review in the fitness industry. A calm, professional response showing you take it seriously defuses the situation publicly.

💰
One bad review = £72k lifetime loss
A loyal member paying monthly is worth £2,400 or more over their membership lifetime, plus the friends they bring. One unanswered negative review can deter 30 potential members. That is a loss of over £72k from a single review left on read.

The person behind the replies

G

Hi, I'm Gareth

I started Well Replied because I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant gyms and studios with amazing coaches, loyal members, and dozens of Google reviews that nobody had ever responded to.

The truth is, most gym owners do not ignore reviews on purpose. You are coaching classes, managing memberships, maintaining equipment, and keeping the community alive. Sitting down to write review responses is the thing that never makes it to the top of the list.

That is where I come in. I personally read every review your gym receives and write a genuine, thoughtful response that matches your energy. Not a corporate template. Not a chatbot reply. A real response from someone who gets fitness culture.

If you want to see what I would write for your gym, get in touch. I will send you sample replies based on your actual reviews, completely free, before you commit to anything.
