How it works

Three steps. No hassle. You focus on running your business, I handle the reviews.

01
You sign up
Pick your speed tier and tell me about your trade. Plumber? Electrician? Builder? Multi-trade? I learn your voice and match it naturally.
02
I write every reply
Every new Google review gets a personal, from-scratch response. Five-star recommendations, pricing complaints, no-show accusations. All of them, handled with respect.
03
You approve or I post
Replies are sent to you for approval first. Nothing goes public without your sign-off unless you tell me to post directly.

Real reviews, real responses

These are genuine examples of the kind of replies I write for tradespeople and home service businesses. In the trades, trust is everything and your review responses do the selling for you.

Glowing Reviews
★★★★★
"Called at 9am with a burst pipe, they were here by 11. Fixed it properly, cleaned up after themselves, and the price was exactly what they quoted. No hidden extras, no drama. This is how every tradesman should operate."
— Catherine W., Google Review
Owner Response
Catherine, that is really kind. A burst pipe is stressful enough without worrying about when someone is going to turn up or what the final bill will be. We quote what we charge and we clean up when we leave. Simple as that. Glad we could sort it quickly for you.
★★★★★
"Had the whole house rewired and I cannot fault them. Neat work, on time every day, and they even moved furniture back when they were done. My wife said they were the tidiest tradesmen we have ever had in. That is the ultimate compliment."
— Paul J., Google Review
Owner Response
Paul, a full rewire is a big, disruptive job so hearing we kept things tidy throughout means a lot. When you are in someone's home you should treat it like your own. Tell your wife we appreciate the compliment. That is genuinely the best feedback we get. Thank you.
Mixed Feedback
★★★★☆
"Good job on the bathroom refit, everything looks great. Lost a star because the timeline slipped by a week. I understand things happen but a heads up earlier would have been appreciated rather than finding out on the day it was supposed to be done."
— Sarah F., Google Review
Owner Response
Sarah, you are right. The bathroom looks spot on but slipping a week without giving you proper notice is not good enough. You planned around that date and we should have flagged the delay as soon as we knew. We are getting better at proactive communication and this is a good reminder why it matters. Thank you for the honest feedback.
★★★☆☆
"The plastering work itself is excellent, really smooth finish. But getting a quote took three weeks and two follow-up calls from me. Once they started the work was great but the admin side needs attention."
— Ian M., Google Review
Owner Response
Ian, I appreciate the kind words about the plastering. You are right that three weeks for a quote is too long. We have been flat out but that is not an excuse. You should not have to chase us. We have brought someone in to help with the admin side so quotes go out faster. Thanks for being fair about the work quality while being honest about where we need to improve.
Tough Reviews
★★☆☆☆
"Booked them to fit a new boiler. They did not turn up on the agreed day, no phone call, nothing. When I finally got hold of them the next day they were apologetic but offered no explanation. If you cannot make it, just tell me. I took a day off work for this."
— Jenny C., Google Review
Owner Response
Jenny, there is no excuse for this. You took a day off work and we did not show up or call. That is a complete failure on our part. I am genuinely sorry. We have reviewed how we manage our scheduling and introduced same-day notifications if any job needs to be moved. I would like the chance to make this right. Please get in touch and we will prioritise getting your boiler fitted at a time that works for you.
★☆☆☆☆
"Hired them to tile our kitchen floor. The grout started cracking within a month and two tiles have already come loose. When I called to complain I was told it was because of the tiles I chose, not their workmanship. Absolutely pathetic excuse. Do not use these cowboys."
— Robert E., Google Review
Owner Response
Robert, I am sorry to hear this. Tiles coming loose within a month is not acceptable regardless of the tile type. I want to come out personally and inspect the work. If the preparation or installation was not up to standard, we will redo it at our cost. Blaming the materials without investigating properly is not how we want to handle things. Please reach out directly and I will arrange a time to come and look.

Why your reviews need a reply

The research is clear. Responding to reviews changes customer behaviour, protects revenue, and improves your visibility on Google.

📈
Customers upgrade their reviews
Consumers are 33% more likely to upgrade their review if you respond with a personalised message within a day. For tradespeople, where word of mouth is king, that upgrade ripples through entire neighbourhoods.

Responding to reviews feeds into Google's ranking signals. For local tradespeople, this is critical. The difference between page one and page two of Google Maps is the difference between a full diary and an empty one.

The cowboy label sticks fast
One unanswered accusation of shoddy work or overcharging and you are labelled a cowboy. A calm, professional response completely changes how future customers interpret that review.

One bad review = £90k lifetime loss
A loyal customer who calls you for every job is worth £3,000 or more over the years, plus the referrals they send. One unanswered negative review can deter 30 potential customers. That is a loss of over £90k from a single review left on read.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the review response service and how it works for your business.

I write a calm, professional response that takes the accusation seriously. I invite the reviewer to discuss the specifics, offer to inspect the work, and make it clear you stand behind your craftsmanship. Future customers see a tradesperson who handles criticism with integrity rather than ignoring it.

The person behind the replies

G

Hi, I'm Gareth

I started Well Replied because I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant tradespeople with years of experience, happy customers, and dozens of Google reviews that nobody had ever responded to.

The truth is, most tradespeople do not ignore reviews on purpose. You are on site all day, covered in dust or under someone's floorboards. By the time you get home, writing public review responses is the last thing on your mind.

That is where I come in. I personally read every review your business receives and write a genuine, thoughtful response that sounds like it came from you. Not a template. Not corporate waffle. Just a real reply from someone who understands the trades.

If you want to see what I would write for your business, get in touch. I will send you sample replies based on your actual reviews, completely free, before you commit to anything.
